Make a "Meter String" by following the directions below.

Materials: 20-30m of nylon string, sheet of mailing labels (Avery 5160), piece of cardboard (.5 m square), tape

Once you have the labels attached to the string, tape the beginning of the string (0 meters) to the floor in front of the Uber Flyer and stretch the string out across the room as far as it will go. Tape the far end to the floor. When your rockets land, students can either estimate the distance within the meter where it landed, or use a meter stick to get an exact measurement.
