FMTouch

FMTouch is an exciting new app for the iPhone and iPod Touch made by FMWebschool. It is available for purchase in the iTunes App Store. With FMTouch, you can run some fairly sophisticated FileMaker databases on your iPhone and iPod Touch. It allows you to view and edit your data on the go, then sync your data back to your computer with very little effort. In addition to the many interface improvements that FMTouch has over the old FileMaker Mobile, one of the best features is that all of the setup and syncronizing takes place wirelessly over your local WiFi network. No more docking!

So what does FMTouch mean for you as a client? Affordability. Taking an idea from concept to finished product requires much less time to develop. There are many apps for the iPhone that do many incredible things, but if you need something very specific that doesn't exist in the iTunes App Store, FMTouch may be just the right tool to have me develop your very own customized application. FMTouch can't immitate everything that a native iPhone app can do, like the flashy games, but it is very powerful and flexible, and it's getting better all the time with updates.
